What modding is possible?There are no plans to add more modding support, as it would require a whole lot of work to add.The modding that can be done in the current build of the game is changing sprites, music and sound effects. (8) How do dailies and weeklies work?Dailies (daily runs) are one of the two ranked modes in Nuclear Throne. Every day at 0:00 UTC the daily run leaderboards are reset, and a new seed is randomly selected. You are given a single chance at a daily run. You choose a character (crown and starting weapon can not be chosen) and play the same run as everyone else (dependent on operating system). Nuclear Throne is a post-apocalyptic roguelike-like top-down shooter. Not 'the final hope of humanity' post-apocalyptic, but 'humanity is extinct and mutants and monsters now roam the world' post-apocalyptic. Fight your way through the wastelands with powerful weaponry, collecting radiation to mutate some new limbs and abilities. Nuclear Throne is Vlambeers latest action roguelike-like about mutants fighting their way through a post-apocalyptic world. The radioactive waste in the world allows mutants to get ahead by mutating new limbs on the fly, the abundant availability of powerful weaponry make the quest to become ruler of the Wasteland one frought with peril.

Unlike dailies, weeklies are infinitely replayable until Monday 0:00 UTC. Weeklies are based on highest amount of kills achieved, your attempts with lower scores are discarded.

(11) I got banned from the leaderboards (and Thronebutt)?Thronebutt moderators will hide cheated scores and ban players that cheated. This will result in every daily and weekly you do being automatically hidden from the leaderboards.If you want to appeal, currently you can do that by contacting one of the Thronebutt moderators or making a forum post regarding the subject and a Thronebutt moderator will see it. (14) Why was my Crown Vault populated with enemies?This is a bug that currently exists in the game, often referred to as “Cursed Vaults”. Sometimes (randomly) a Crown Vault will be populated with enemies. The enemies that spawn are the same kind of enemies as the previous level you were in.These Crown Vaults still contain Vault Statues (containing Crown Guardians), and will most likely be broken by enemies resulting in you not being able to take (or drop) a crown. The Proto Weapon Chest will get replaced by a normal, randomized chest.

(16) How do golden weapons work?Golden weapons are a variant of some regular weapons. Golden variants have a minor benefit, increasing their overall potency. The benefit they have depends on the weapon.When you go through a portal with a golden weapon in either slot, it is saved for that character. From then on, starting a run with that character will give you the ability to start with that weapon. Saving a new golden weapon will overwrite your currently saved weapon for that character.The first tier of golden weapons can be found in Y.V’s mansion (3-?) and after loop 1-1. (17) How do I loop?When walking up to The Nuclear Throne, you will see 2 large generators on both sides of the level. After activating The Nuclear Throne and it has done its beam attack, the generators will light up.

This indicates that they are now active and can be damaged. To loop, you have to destroy all 4 generators while they are lit (so not before, or after defeating The Nuclear Throne). Once they are all destroyed, you’ll hear an audio cue that indicates you are fully able to loop. After you defeat The Nuclear Throne a large portal will appear and pull you in, regardless of location on the level. You have now entered Loop, the majority of the late-game content. (18) My game crashed on The Campfire (0-1), on the Throne II fightThis is a known bug. It can get caused by the boss intro, and by pausing during or after the Throne II fight.
